The endowment system in Islamic culture has played and continues to play an important role in giving meaning to the urban structure and the continuation of Islamic identity in the Islamic world, especially in Iranian-Islamic cities.
In the present article, the role of endowment culture in the construction of urban complexes in the Safavid era has been explained based on the concepts of Giddens structuration theory and interpretive-historical method. To achieve this goal, urban arsenals that have been formed based on the endowment mechanism and their urbanization systems in the historical cities of Isfahan, Kerman and Ardabil, have been studied as a case study. It becomes clear to us that physical and functional continuity based on Islamic principles and norms has been influential In this study, relying on the concepts and ideas of Giddens structuration theory, the culture of endowment in cities as a mechanism in the structuration and reproduction of social systems and urban structures based on Shia  jurisprudence and the agency of scholars and mujtahids from the time of endowment document to approval, supervision and Their management and at the same time the development of endowments in the Safavid period are studied and explained Placing the main elements that form the urban structure, namely mosques, bazaars, squares and government buildings in a spatial relationship that shows the nature and spiritual connection and endowment of endowments with religious, educational, political and economic affairs and holding religious, religious and ritual ceremonies in This Collections in the framework of Islamic-Iranian culture over time have had a significant impact on the continuity and persistence of the physical and functional dimensions of collections and the reproduction of Islamic values
