Housing is a fundamental component of urban living, with the spatial organization of residential units influencing collective relationships among residents. This research examines both the objective and topological analysis of residential structures in Amol city using space syntax, alongside measuring residents' subjective perceptions through satisfaction surveys regarding the spatial relationships within their units. The relationship between solitude and collective interaction in spatial organization is a key factor affecting resident satisfaction. The primary goal of the study is to explore how the spatial organization elements impact satisfaction levels concerning solitude and collective interaction in apartment settings. Another objective is to offer design recommendations to improve the quality of spatial communication in residential units. The research addresses the following questions: What is the role of these components in resident satisfaction? Which sample demonstrates the highest satisfaction with spatial organization? What design improvements can enhance satisfaction? To conduct this study, apartment samples from four districts of Amol were selected, analyzed using E-Graph with space syntax techniques, and resident satisfaction was assessed through questionnaires and correlation tests. Among the samples, Example Four, with a broken plan and effective spatial separation between private and communal areas, showed the highest satisfaction levels. The findings indicate that spatial organization significantly influences the behavioral and cognitive patterns of residents within their living spaces.
